Drip Pans, Galvi Unit Pans & Drain Pans

Drip pans, also known as unit pans, drain pans, HVAC pans, catch pans or galvi pans (galvanized steel), are custom made pans used to waterproof air conditioning units, electric or gas water heaters, washing machines and dryers, or as catch pans for oil or waste, for example. These are usually placed right below the machinery to catch any water or moisture dripping from that unit, preventing leakage to the floor area, avoiding costly repair due to unforeseen failures.

Riverside Sheet Metal will custom fabricate overflow unit pans with galvanized steel, stainless steel and copper to fit templates, or simply by measurements. Unit pans normally feature hemmed non-sharp edges (a 180° fold clamped tight) for thinner gauges, such as 20 or 24 gauge (standard). Pans with thicker gauges are also commonly fabricated in 18, 16 and 14 gauge. These items often have odd shapes, which we can normally fabricate without issues.

Riverside can also install drains or pipes, fabricate neo-angle unit pans and round shaped pans. Every unit pan fabricated is watertight by being soldered together or welded.
